Welcome to Launching Her. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LaunchingHer.com, The First Five program, and any related content, resources, programs, workshops, downloads, assessments, emails, or services offered by Launching Her (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing this website, purchasing a product or service, enrolling in a program, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. About Launching Her

Launching Her provides educational resources, career-readiness guidance, professional development programs, and related services intended primarily to help college women and their families navigate the transition from college to career.

Programs may include The First Five, workshops, coaching, assessments, downloadable resources, articles, newsletters, and other educational offerings.

Launching Her provides education and guidance. We do not operate as an employment agency, university career center, recruiter, or placement service.

2. Educational Purposes Only

All information provided through Launching Her is for educational and informational purposes only.

Our content and programs may address topics such as:

  • Career preparation and job-search strategy

  • Résumés and LinkedIn profiles

  • Networking

  • Interview preparation

  • Workplace communication

  • Professional development

  • Leadership and confidence

  • Early-career decision-making

The information provided is not legal, financial, tax, psychological, medical, or other licensed professional advice.

You are responsible for evaluating information and making decisions appropriate to your individual circumstances.

3. No Guarantee of Employment or Other Results

Launching Her is designed to improve career readiness, but individual results vary.

We do not guarantee that participation in a Launching Her program will result in:

  • A particular salary

  • Admission to a graduate program

  • A promotion

  • Career advancement

  • Acceptance by a particular employer

  • Any specific professional or financial outcome

Hiring and employment decisions are made independently by employers and other third parties.

Testimonials, examples, participant stories, or results shared on the website are illustrative only and should not be interpreted as promises that another participant will achieve the same results.

4. Student Responsibility and Independence

Launching Her believes that college women should take ownership of their professional development.

Although a parent, guardian, or other person may purchase a program or service on behalf of a participant, the participant is responsible for her own participation, decisions, applications, communications, interviews, networking activities, and career choices.

Launching Her may provide guidance, templates, feedback, and recommendations, but participants remain responsible for their own work and decisions.

5. Eligibility

The Services are intended primarily for adults, including college students, recent graduates, parents, and families.

If a participant is under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must authorize participation and agree to these Terms on the participant's behalf.

By using the Services, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms or have appropriate parental or guardian authorization.

6. Program Participation

Participants in cohort programs such as The First Five are expected to engage respectfully and professionally.

Launching Her reserves the right to remove a participant from a program or community for conduct including:

  • Harassment or discrimination

  • Threatening or abusive behavior

  • Repeated disruption of sessions

  • Misuse of another participant's personal information

  • Recording or distributing sessions without authorization

  • Sharing proprietary program materials without permission

  • Conduct that materially interferes with the experience of other participants

Participation in a program does not create an employment, partnership, agency, fiduciary, or joint-venture relationship between Launching Her and any participant.

7. Registration and Account Information

You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering for a program, downloading a resource, completing an assessment, or making a purchase.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials associated with the Services and for activities conducted through your account.

8. Payments

Prices for programs, products, workshops, and other paid Services are displayed at the time of purchase.

By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout.

If a payment plan is offered, the payment schedule and total cost will be disclosed during enrollment. By choosing a payment plan, you agree to make all payments according to that schedule.

Any applicable cancellation, refund, transfer, or withdrawal terms will be disclosed during registration or at checkout.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content provided through Launching Her is owned by or licensed to Launching Her and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Program curricula

  • The First Five materials

  • Playbooks

Purchasing or accessing a resource gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal educational purposes.

You may not reproduce, sell, license, publish, distribute, upload, teach from, create derivative commercial products from, or otherwise commercially exploit Launching Her materials without prior written permission.

Parents who purchase resources for their daughters may share those materials with the intended participant.

10. Recording of Sessions

Participants may not record, photograph, screenshot, reproduce, livestream, or distribute program sessions or participant discussions without prior authorization from Launching Her and, when applicable, the individuals involved.

If Launching Her intends to record a session, participants will be informed as appropriate.

11. Participant Privacy and Confidentiality

Group programs may involve discussions about participants' career goals, experiences, job searches, workplaces, interviews, and professional challenges.

Participants agree to respect the privacy of others and not disclose another participant's personal information or private statements outside the program without permission.

While Launching Her encourages confidentiality within group programs, we cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

Participants should therefore use reasonable judgment when deciding what personal information to share.

12. User-Submitted Content

If you submit testimonials, feedback, comments, questions, survey responses, or other content to Launching Her, you retain ownership of your original content.

Unless you separately grant permission, private participant communications will not automatically become promotional testimonials.

If Launching Her wishes to publicly use a participant's name, photograph, testimonial, or identifiable success story for marketing purposes, appropriate permission will be obtained.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Launching Her may link to or integrate with third-party websites and platforms, including universities, employers, LinkedIn, application platforms, email providers, payment processors, assessment tools, scheduling platforms, or other resources.

Launching Her does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their:

  • Availability

  • Privacy practices

  • Security

  • Policies

  • Products

  • Services

  • Hiring decisions

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

14. Website Availability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Launching Her and its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, advisors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.

This includes losses relating to employment decisions, missed employment opportunities, compensation decisions, third-party conduct, reliance on educational materials, or participant interactions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Launching Her and its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

Launching Her may update these Terms periodically as our website, programs, and Services evolve.
